Super Star Mahesh Babu is back with the movie Businessman which is released all over the world amidst huge expectations in record number of theaters. This is being directed by Puri Jaganadh, who recorded blockbuster success to Mahesh Babu with Pokiri . After Dookudu's huge success and breaking collections Mahesh Babu has overtaken all other heros of Tollywood, if Businessman succeeds for sure Mahesh will hold the top place in Tollywood. He paired up with Kajal Agarwal for the first time in this movie and Shwetha Bharadwaj is doing an item number. Lets quickly analyse whether Businessman could provide top place for MaheshBabu.

Story:

Surya (Mahesh),an aspiring Don, visits Mumbai to establish himself as a Bhai, after the end of Doowood, Chota Shakeel and other famous gangsters's era in Mumbai.He traps Chitra(Kajal),daughter of Commisionar of Police, to safeguard himself in the future.Within no time he grows into a super power with the support of Local Leader(Shiyaji Shinde).He creates office under the name Surya Exports and imports, to run his extortion and settlement business.He expands his business horizons to every corner of the country.He will reach a stage where he dictates the win for a national party in the general election, with his money and power.What drove surya to choose this path and how he encounters the famous national political leader (Prakash Raj) has to be watched on the screen

Performances

MaheshBabu: With Businessman Mahesh proved he is the real 'Bhai' of Telugu Film Industry.Each and every shot in the movie tries to elevate Mahesh Dynamism.It is highly difficult for any actor to engross audience for entire length of the movie.Though his style is an extension of Khaleja and Dookudu, when it is mixed with Puri's powerful characterization, we have a winner in the form of Surya Bhai.He thoroughly excelled in every emotion, be it sharp witty dialogues, emotional scenes, modulations in dialogue delivery.One must confess that his energy levels are taking a high rise for every subsequent movie and now Businessman unveils the real strength in him.However, one major drawback which is glaringly visible is his dance.He gave a dismal performance in dance.He always used to coverup his gaps with regular and routine steps, but in Businessman(Even in Dookudu),aiming for something unreachable, he almost imitated his dad's terrible dancing feat.

On a whole Maheshbabu shouldered Businessman with an electrifying performance,mixed with tsunami of power packed dialogues ,inspite of cliched narration and weak screenplay from Puri. On a lighter note, he must have not uttered most disgusting words, which are censored for obvious reasons.

Kajal Agarwal: Her character is more or less a xerox of Ileana's character in Businessman, except for the fact that she is a daughter of Police commisionar.More importantly, she is zero value addition to the movie.Infact her scenes break the continuity of the movie in the first half.Coming to her performance, She has nothing great to offer with role provided to her.This movie is completely made for Mahesh and even heroine was made to underplay.However she looked very glamorous on screen.There was no hint of any vulgarity(over exposing) , she looked neat.Over all Kajal's role is very limited and acts tangential to the movie.

Others: Prakash Raj is very regular and his role is limited to very few scenes in second half.Brahmaji appears in most of the scenes, but with no dialogues except in first 10-15mins.Shiyaji Shinde is good.Subbaraju is wasted, Shwetha baradwaj, is disappointing, her item song is no where near "Ippatikinka naa vayasu" and blurring of her body looked stole the essence. Rest of the cast dint have major scope.

Direction and Screenplay: Businessman is Puri brand movie.First and foremost he is successful in etching Mahesh character.Being an expert at desining hero characterizations, Puri' Surya Bhai is perfect fit for Mahesh Babu.When it comes to the story, Puri could not convince audience with weak narration.Screenplay of the movie looked very patchy and narration looked unrealistic.That being said, this is not very new to puri, he does it in every movie.However, he should have carefully launched Mahesh character and planned second half even more convincingly.More importantly, if extreme vulgarity(voice censored) is his idea, he should come out of it as soon as possible, those are very disgusting for any normal public. On a whole, Puri's work needs lot of tinkering to make it a master peice.

Other Departments: Super flop show from Thaman.Background is very loud and irritating.Stunts could have been better.When movie runs with a tagline, Guns dont need agreements,lot will be expected from stunt masters.Cinematography is decent.Rest of the deparments are ok.

Final Analysis:

After Dookudu, Mahesh mania went viral among Telugu movie lovers.As expected, Businessman was arrived amidst lot of expectations.Coming to the movie analysis, First 20mins of the movie looks very patchy and director failed to establish Mahesh character.He(Surya) hurriedly visits mumbai and meets heroine, forms a group.As we digest those bit and peices, movie gets interesting with Mahesh's brilliant performance and Puri's typical narration.By the time movie reaches second half, Mahesh establishes himself as popular Bhai and puri in hurriness of explaining too many things, completely lost the grip on narration.Second half looks very unrealistic with Mahesh evolving into a super power capable of dictating central politics.Over all Businessman offers nothing new in term of story and screenplay, it is just another regular Puri flick.

If you are Maheshbabu fan, this movie is recommended for you.Movie is made just to highlight the dynamism of Mahesh and unviel real power of prince.By any chance, if you hate or bored with Puri narrative, Businessman is not your cup of coffee.

Final words: Watch it for Maheshbabu.Families can stay out of it for its most disgusting language usage(voice censored).
